INFANTS
Environment
Our Infant program supports your child’s constantly changing development and eagerness for learning in a safe, fun, creative, engaging environment. Our classroom has special furniture, toys, manipulatives and activities to fit your child’s size and quickly developing creativity.
Ratio
Our 1:5 teacher-to-child ratio provides each child valuable learning interactions and support as they experience great developmental accomplishments.
Curriculum
Through our Funshine Express BUTTERCUPS curriculum, each child engages in a variety of activities that support Ohio’s Early Learning Developmental Standards and their love for learning and exploration of God’s world. Daily routines and procedures give our Infants the consistency they love.
Daily Activities
Every day our Infants have fun and interactive activities that expose them to colors, shapes, letters, numbers, music and movement. Introduction to reading by our loving staff help foster a love for reading and vocabulary development. Learning activities give many opportunities that support creativity and imaginary play through arts, science, dramatic and sensory play, along with gross motor and fine motor skills. Our Infants and Toddlers have their own individual outdoor “fenced” playground with special Infant/Toddler materials that support gross motor skills and age-appropriate play.
Our Infant program helps foster independence by modelling and teaching self-help skills. Our Infants get plenty of love and hugs to help with transitioning into their new environment.
